Cover a large flat work surface with cling film to protect it from paint splatter.
It can be a bit tricky to paint your awning a lighter color.
You can normally go with a darker color to cover up faded fabric.
It is durable and resistant to things like mold and mildew while holding its color quite well.
If you re going with this approach it may take a couple layers of paint and we recommend a clear code above the fabric to seal the surface.
Natural fiber awnings need to be replaced more often than their acrylic or vinyl or vinyl polyester composite counterparts.

If you re looking for a durable water proof and fire resistant awning fabric that is energy efficient then a vinyl polyester composite fabric might be right for you.
